Many of you might not know this but a few years ago, each Key Surgical sales rep was given a custom-designed gnome statue as a token of good luck. Soon after, the sales team designed a cute little gnome that features Key Surgical colors, our logo, and it even carries a Key Surgical cleaning brush! We named him ‘Lucky’. Although it’s not an official mascot, Lucky became a fun little giveaway for customers! I still love my gnome and bring him along with me as a travel.
At the beginning of April, I traveled to Coralville, IA for the Central Service Association of Iowa (CSAI) Spring Seminar and Vendor Fair. With over 75+ attendees, it was a high-energy conference that focused on the following topics:
- Understanding the factors of cleaning
- Understanding manual cleaning
- Cart washer/sonic cleaning
- Endoscope cleaning
There was a great emphasis on products such as pipe cleaners, used for clean verification as well as instrument cleaning brushes, and sterilization trays. Key Surgical showcased our line of products during the vendor exhibit and I was thrilled to get a chance to talk with so many of you on a one-on-one basis!
During my trip to Iowa I visited with the University of Iowa Hospital and the newly opened Children’s Hospital! I want to thank everyone for their incredible hospitality; I look forward to a return trip very soon.
