We are pleased to announce the product additions of soaker sheets, tray liners, and tray mats used within the sterile processing department for instrument tray sterilization. Previously available through a distributor, Healthmark Industries, these products are now available direct to you as result of our significant scale as a global organization under STERIS:

• Soaker Sheets (previously distributed as OrthoShield)
• Tray Liners (previously distributed as UnderGuard)
• Tray Mats (popularly known as ‘purple mats’ and previously distributed as Dual UnderGuard)

If you have purchased these products in the past, you may have noticed labeling that identifed Key Surgical as the legal manufacturer. Our exclusive distribution relationship with Healthmark Industries ended December 31, 2022 and we are excited to to be your direct partner for support in sterile processing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I need to update my purchasing system?
A: As we are now providing those products directly to you, the references are changing, and your system needs to be updated accordingly to ensure a smooth transition. By making the necessary updates in your ordering system you can avoid supply disruption.
 
Q: I have orders placed with Healthmark. Should I expect back orders?
A: We cannot comment on Healthmark’s ability to fulfill your existing orders on these products. We no longer supply these products to them and transitioning your orders to the Key Surgical references would prevent any supply disruption.
 
Q: I order other products from Healthmark; does this transition apply to those as well?
A: This transition applies only to the products listed in the cross-reference document. Please contact your Key Surgical sales representative if you are interested in transitioning additional products.
 
Q: Am I able to purchase these products through other distribution channels?
A:  Yes, like our other products, these items will also be available via your distributors (Medline, Cardinal, etc.)
 
Q: I noticed some products have a different unit of measure. Why?
A: As part of STERIS, Key Surgical is committed to global sustainability and as we worked through the transition, we identified optimization opportunities for the following products and units of measure.
